Privacy Policy
How Valente London collects, uses and protects personal data.
Last updated
Valente London Ltd ("we", "us") takes care with the personal data this website and its forms handle. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the rights you have over it.
Who we are
Valente London Ltd is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. You can contact us about anything in this policy using the details on the contact page.
The information we collect
- What you tell us when you get in touch or ask about a commission — your name, email address and the content of your message, and, for an appointment request, the model, size, plate colour and any personalisation notes you give us.
- Technical data generated by your visit, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request. Our hosting provider processes this to deliver the site securely and keeps service logs for a short period.
The choice you make in the cookie banner, so we can honour it on your next visit — see the cookie policy for what that involves.
- Nothing else. There are no accounts, no newsletters and no online checkout on this site, so there is no profiling and no data is sold or rented to anyone.
How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and, where you ask us to, arrange a consultation or take forward a bespoke commission.
- To keep the website secure and working properly.
- To meet our legal and accounting obligations, for example once a commission has been agreed.
Our legal basis
We rely on your consent for anything the cookie banner asks about, on our legitimate interest in replying to enquiries and keeping the site secure, and on our legal obligations where they apply.
Sharing your information
We do not sell your personal data. It is shared only with the providers who help us run the site and answer you:
- Postboi, which delivers the messages you send through our contact and appointment forms.
- Sanity, which hosts the site’s content and photographs.
- Cookiebot (Usercentrics), which records the choice you make in the cookie banner.
- Our hosting provider, for the technical logs described above.
We may also share information where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Enquiry and appointment emails are kept for as long as needed to deal with your request and any commission that follows, then deleted. Service logs held by our hosting provider are retained for a limited period set by that provider. The cookie consent choice is held for twelve months, as the cookie policy explains.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to object to or restrict its processing, and to data portability where it applies. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details on the contact page and we will respond within one month.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows the most recent revision.
