Our Story

About

Founded by Emily Jeffreys in 2015, Valente London was born from a desire to challenge convention through curiosity, exploring the art of the possible when technology and style collide. Valente is an Italian word meaning ‘to possess courage or strength’. Constantly questioning how things were made and why certain materials were used for different applications, Emily has always believed curiosity is the birthplace of innovation.

The heritage of the brand lies within the world of motorsport with Emily’s family background having ties to carbon fibre composites in the high-tech world of Formula One motor racing. The principle of constantly pushing the limits of possibility was handed down to Emily from a very young age, culminating in her vision for our unique, carbon fibre chassis. The merging of two unrelated worlds; one of intense precision and one of passionate craftsmanship has been an exercise in fusing tradition with contemporary design, proudly creating a new niche.

Behind Valente London is a team of experts. The craftsman behind the suede uppers is a master shoemaker. His clients have included Princess Diana, Princess Grace of Monaco, Shirley Bassey and Madonna. Over five decades perfecting the art of making heels, details matter. From the quality of the suede to the hand-cut patterns carefully constructed over the last and a deep understanding of pitch angles, every aspect is considered.

The chassis are designed by former Formula One designers. Carbon fibre is strong and lightweight. Unlike conventional heels, Valente London heels do not require heavy metallic support structures. Geometry plays a role too, creating exquisite silhouettes while adding lightness. Every pair feature metallic sole plates, machined from aerospace metals and laser etched with a unique chassis number.

Every part has been designed with advanced engineering precision.

The process

Your journey begins with a brief consultation. Together, we will explore your preferred style, fit, and colour preferences to perfect your vision before approving your heels for production.

Over the following weeks, starting with the carbon chassis our master artisans will hand-craft your bespoke pair, keeping you updated as they come to life.

Subject to the level of personalisation you choose, completed orders are typically delivered directly to your door in around twelve weeks.

Materials

  • Carbon fibre weave rippling under the light.

    Carbon Fibre

Sharing its elemental structure with diamond, carbon fibre is famed for both exceptional strength and striking style. But beyond its technical properties lies a world of master craftsmanship. Every pair of Valente London chassis requires hours of skilled hand-assembly, with meticulous attention paid to the flawless alignment of the weave, capturing and playing with the light as you move.

  • Brushed aluminium sheet, silver with a warm reflection across it.

    Aluminium

Beneath the carbon fibre chassis sits our signature flash of aluminium. Our unique aluminium sole plates are laser engraved with the Valente London logo as well as each pair’s individual chassis number. We finish our aerospace-grade aluminium in a range of custom anodised colours, anchored by classic silver and gold.

    Leather

Handmade to order from our expansive colour palette, Valente London heels are released across two annual seasonal collections — Spring/Summer and Autumn/Winter. Our curated core of classic colours are available throughout the year.

We work primarily with premium goat suede for its exceptional softness and comfort, which creates a striking, tactile contrast against the carbon chassis.
